My Top 5 Flight Essentials for Stress-Free Travel

Hi Reader,

Long flights can be challenging, but with the right gear, they become so much more manageable. Over the years, I’ve tested a lot of travel accessories, and these are the five flight must-haves I never board without.

Whether you’re flying cross-country or across the ocean, these items keep things organized, comfortable, and hassle-free.

  1. Beats Flex Wireless Earbuds - They’re lightweight, have great sound, and last up to 12 hours—perfect for in-flight movies or music. I love the magnetic neckband that keeps them from getting lost mid-flight.
  2. Travelon World Travel Seat Pack Organizer - This attaches to the seatback tray and keeps everything in reach—my Kindle, charging cables, earbuds, snacks, wipes, and more. No more digging through the under-seat bag.
  3. Kindle Paperwhite - My go-to for catching up on books while in the air. It’s compact, glare-free, and has an adjustable light that works in any cabin lighting.
  4. Slim Power Bank with AC Plug - I never travel without this. It’s slim, powerful, and has a built-in plug so I can recharge it easily at the airport or hotel.
  5. Flight Flap Airplane Phone Holder - This little gadget is surprisingly useful. It props your phone at eye level on the tray table—great for watching shows without holding your phone the entire flight.

💡 Travel Tip: Pack a small in-flight pouch with your must-haves—lip balm, tissues, hand sanitizer, a pen, and earbuds. It saves you from unzipping your entire carry-on mid-flight.

🌍 My Recommendation: If you get cold easily like I do, bring a soft, packable travel blanket. I’ve used mine as a blanket, pillow, and even rolled it for lumbar support—it’s versatile and worth the space.

We Don’t Always Travel on Points—But We Always Collect Them Over the years, we’ve learned this simple truth: even if you don’t plan your whole trip using points, you should always be collecting them. Whether it’s through a credit card, an airline, or a hotel stay—points add up faster than you think. They’ve helped us score free flights, room upgrades, and even whole vacations. This issue is all about how we earn (and use!) both nonbranded and branded points—and why you should be collecting...
