We’re Back! + Top Travel Trends for 2025

Hi Reader,

It’s been a while, but I’m excited to say that Travel Must Do’s is back in your inbox! If you’ve been wondering where we’ve been, don’t worry—we’ve been out exploring, testing new travel experiences, and gathering even more must-know travel tips to share with you.

As we dive into 2025, travel is changing in exciting ways. Whether you’re planning your next big trip or just daydreaming about one, here are five travel trends that will shape the way we explore the world this year.

  1. Off-the-Beaten-Path Destinations Skip the over-touristed spots and opt for unique destinations where you can still have an authentic experience without the crowds. Instead of Santorini, check out Milos or Naxos. Thinking of Bali? Try Lombok instead.
  2. AI-Powered Travel Planning (But Use It Wisely!) AI tools are making trip planning faster and more personalized, helping travelers generate itineraries, find local restaurants, and get travel hacks instantly. However, always verify the information these tools provide. AI can sometimes be outdated or inaccurate, so double-check with official websites, local tourism boards, or recent traveler reviews before booking anything.
  3. Budget-Friendly Luxury Luxury travel isn’t just for high rollers anymore. Travel hacking with points and miles, affordable all-inclusive in underrated destinations, and last-minute cruise deals are making high-end experiences more accessible than ever.
  4. Sustainable & Ethical Travel Eco-conscious travelers are choosing local guides, carbon-offset flights, and eco-friendly stays to make a positive impact. Destinations like Costa Rica, Slovenia, and Bhutan are leading the way in sustainable tourism.
  5. Slow Travel & Longer Stays Instead of hopping from city to city, more travelers are opting to stay longer and immerse themselves in local culture. Countries like Portugal, Thailand, and Mexico now offer digital nomad visas, making it easier to work remotely while traveling.

💡 Travel Tips: How to Stay Ahead of 2025’s Travel Trends

  • Book early for hidden gem destinations before they get crowded. Use Google Flights & Hopper to track price drops.
  • Try AI travel tools, but always fact-check the information.
  • Consider eco-friendly accommodations and support local businesses when traveling.
  • Maximize travel rewards with credit card points and loyalty programs. 🌍

My Recommendation:

Why Maui Should Be on Your 2025 List If there’s one place I’ll always recommend, it’s Maui. It’s perfect whether you love snorkeling, whale watching, or just relaxing on stunning beaches. One of my favorite ways to experience it is with a Trilogy tour to Lanai. The catamaran ride across the Auʻau Channel is breathtaking, and once you arrive on Lanai, you can snorkel in crystal-clear waters, explore secluded beaches, and even spot wild dolphins. Plus, Trilogy’s crew makes the whole trip unforgettable with top-notch service and great food.

Pro Tip: Take a sunrise tour to Haleakalā National Park for breathtaking views above the clouds. Just be sure to book your reservation early—it’s worth it!

I’d love to hear from you—which of these trends are you most excited about? Just hit reply and let me know!

What’s next? In my next email, I’ll be sharing 5 underrated destinations that deserve a spot on your 2025 travel list. Stay tuned!

Until next time,

Melodie

This issue is all about how we earn (and use!) both nonbranded and branded points—and why you should be collecting...
